An Oklahoma 18-year-old mother killed an intruder on New Year’s Eve. Sarah McKinley was alone with her 3-month-old son, in their Blanchard mobile home. It seems the two men, one of whom she thought was stalking her that night came to her door Saturday night and tried to break in. They were looking for painkillers from Sarah’s husband who had died on Christmas day from lung cancer.

Sarah called 911 and asked the dispatcher if she can shoot the intruder.

“I’ve got two guns in my hand — is it OK to shoot him if he comes in this door? I’m here by myself with my infant baby, can I please get a dispatcher out here immediately?”

“I can’t tell you that you can do that but you do what you have to do to protect your baby,” the dispatcher replied.

Call it motherly instinct but in that moment of truth, sarah calmly gave a bottle to her crying baby, pushed the couch towards the door , pointed the gun at the door waiting. Once the door gave in, she fired killing the knife-totting tormentor. The second intruder fled the scene and surrendered to the cops later.

All in all , it lasted well over 21 minutes with no sign of the cops, although the dispatcher could hear every detail of the chilling encounter unfolding other side of the call. Pro-Gun and anti-gun advocates are having a field day.News Channels are streaming the heroic act with interviews. Some are even calling for the valor award for the teen mom.
