When do you know you are in love and ready to take the next steps?
This is a question that people have been asking for ages. Since time immemorial, people have traveled across different cities / fought wars /searched across brothels ..to find that one thing that could bring untold happiness .. something which they knew existed but had now lost or many a times never experienced but the hope of hopeless romanticism always overcame their underlying skepticism.
The crux of this answer lies in understanding another misunderstood human emotion – Love.
There have been scores and scores of books written about Love and many a philosophers have tried to define it. Almost every writer or the modern movie director, from Shakespeare to James Cameroon, have tried to explore and simplify the emotion of love on their canvas and yet to some its as complex as ever.
Unlike lust or the fleeting infatuations, you do not find love on every nook and corner on a daily basis. Its something so much more. As with other human emotions, love can only be experienced personally and as such, Love like laughter is always relative. It can vary from person to person … and although everyone experiences the same blissful feelings, its meaning is deduced by one’s life’s experience which does differ from person to person. Strange as it may sound but its a fact.
So how can you tell if you are in love and ready to take the next steps ?

Before I give you the answer, I assume you already have a person and you are reading this coz you are just not sure .. Well my friend, you have come to the right place .. so listen up then. Check yourself among the below questionairre
- Are you physically attracted to him/her ? If yes, thats a start. If its a no, he/she’s not the one. Pity is not Love. Any other emotional leverage that does not get him/her attracted to you is not Love.
- Do you want to spend the rest of your life with that one person ? But Wait … Let me rephrase .. Would you like to spend your life with the person who thinks only of you and shows never ending love for you day in and day out. Would you like to be loyal to that one person for everything that they have done for you ?
- Do you think you can still love him/her if he/she doesnt approve of things you hold dear.Your family, your DVD collections , your hobby, your friends ?
- Can you imagine loving him/her without the physical appearance. Forgive me for being rude, just a statement..But what if all teeths went missing .. can you still picture yourself loving him/her for who he/she is to you ?
If you answered any of the above as a NO, maybe its time to move on or know him/her a little more. However if you have an YES for all of the above, you are ready ..
